PhD student in preclinical hematology research (m/f/d)

(pay grade: 13 TV-L / 65% – temporary employment)

Activities and responsibilities

  • Investigation of the mechanisms of immune suppression by CLL cells
  • Planning, conduction and analysis of in vivo and in vitro experiments
  • In vivo immunization and infection assays
  • Flow cytometric analyses
  • Bulk and single cell transcriptomic analyses
  • Multiplex immunofluorescence imaging
  • Supervision of undergraduate students, presentation of scientific results

Qualification profile

  • Completed Diploma or master degree in natural sciences
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Fluent in English, ideally basic command of the German language
  • Self-motivated, creative and proactive
  • Experience in standard laboratory techniques (immunoblotting, flow cytometry, PCR)
  • Experience with in vivo research is a plus
  • Experience with R and/or python is a plus
  • Experience with spatial transcriptomics or multidimensional imaging data is a plus
