This is a full-time permanent role, with a chance to shape the way the university manages our utilities and energy as part of our green agenda. You will be analysing energy usage and profiles across the campus and working with the Engineering Team to develop cases for Carbon Reduction and Energy projects. Your main duties wil be to manage Utility contracts, forecast and manage the energy and utilities budget, and energy related carbon reporting. Your input into the utilities strategy will have a lasting impact on the Universty’s carbon footprint. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of energy, water and utility company readings and managing delivery of those contracts.

What you’ll need to succeed

You will have proven track record of energy and carbon analysis and of identifying opportunities and working collaboratively with engineering and sustainability managers. You will have experience of managing utility contracts and be able to provide invoice validation and forecasting. You will have a strong understanding of the energy market and identify value for money procurement routes.

What you’ll get in return

As a grade 8 position, the salary ranges from £35,333 to £42,155 (permanent contract).

30 days holiday a year plus 5 University closure days and 8 Public Holidays.
