This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing Department of Accounting within Aston Business School. The successful candidate will join a vibrant group of nearly 40 researchers and teachers of accounting with particular interests in audit, data analytics, accounting for decision making (management accounting), financial accounting and taxation – reflecting our position in a ‘triple-crown’ accredited international business school and in a University focused on maximising the employability of its students and the production of impactful research.
We currently offer three degrees within the department, one at undergraduate level and two at postgraduate level. We also deliver accounting related modules across a wide range of business and management programmes within the Business School at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
We have ambitious expansion plans and are now seeking to recruit at least one Senior Lecturer to support these plans by ideally providing additional research and teaching expertise in the areas of management accounting, audit or data analytics for accounting to grow our critical mass further in these areas (although strong candidates in other areas of accounting are also welcome to apply).
You will have a track record of having performed and led excellent accounting research and have a well-developed plan of future research that covers the remaining period of the REF cycle and beyond.
