Activation Assistant

Serving Zurich and area community, West Huron Care Centre is an established hub of services, offering Seniors Independent Living, Community Outreach and Training Programs. In addition, we are home to Blue Water Rest Home, a 65 bed Long-Term Care Home, which is a charitable, non-profit organization.

There is a vacancy for a part time Activation position to start immediately. Applicant must be available for days, afternoons and weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must be in compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021
• Courses in Gerontology or related field.
• Experience working with Long Term Care Residents with multiple needs an asset.
• Experience working with seniors is an asset.
• Excellent communications, organization, assessment and evaluation skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and program development.

The successful applicant will have:

Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check

Fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $21.27-$23.64 per hour
