Job Summary

The PI is seeking an Administrative Assistant to help maintain his personal and lab schedule. Under general supervision by the PI and the lab manager, the Administrative Assistant will support administrative operations for the PI, including his personal calendar, schedule, CV, and other related tasks. They will also support his lab operations, including scheduling lab wide meetings, external meetings, recording meeting minutes, maintaining supplies and equipment, onboarding of new staff, and maintaining social medial pages.

The UCSF Department of Psychiatry is among the nation’s foremost resources in the field of child, adolescent and adult mental health. Required Qualifications

•    High school graduation and two years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•    At least 1 year of experience as an administrative assistant in a research lab or equivalent combination of skills
•    Strong computer skills (experience with Outlook, MS Teams, and Google Drive)
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload
•    Demonstrated administrative/office coordination skills.
•    Excellent oral and written communication and organization skills and demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner
•    Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, clinical and medical staff, and the general public
•    Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as event planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.
•    Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

•    Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer programs and applications
•    Knowledge of University accounting practices and physician credentialing requirements.
•    Experience working in social media or journalism
•    Experience working in a research or clinic setting
•    Ability to come on-site occasionally
