Qualifications:

  • Minimum Masters’s Degree in Education or Behavior Psychology with a minimum of 5 years experience in DD/OPWDD
  • Work Experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities/OPWDD
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Knowledge of educational, behavioral procedures, principles and technology
  • Knowledge of educational/treatment planning
  • Sensitivity to the needs of the consumers

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures proper daily behavior and education programs occur and are aligned with individual valued outcomes
  • Writes, trains, and implements behavior support plans as needed for individuals in the programs (DH and IRAs)
  • Reviews goal books for compliance of all behavior programs
  • Recommends quality of clinical care standards and develops systems to ensure they are met for Hawthorne Foundation Inc. Residential & Day Programs as assigned
  • Accompany individuals on psychiatry appointments
  • Analyze Consumer progress on a daily or moment-to-moment basis
  • Development of curricula and behavior procedures to be followed in the programs
  • Investigates alleged violations of consumer’s rights and untoward incidents
  • Reviews incidents involving behavioral issues
  • Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments for individuals in the programs (DH and IRAs) as needed
  • Develops and trains staff in Behavioral principles and technology and individualize behavior programs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, standing, bending, lifting furniture and consumers as necessary.
  • Must be able to effectively use skills required as part of this position, i.e., CPR, First Aid, Physical Intervention Techniques, Medication Administration, etc.
  • Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  • Must be able to function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility and the ability to work effectively with other personnel.
  • Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
  • Must possess sight, hearing, and smell senses, or use a prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be met

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
