Mission :

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Nutrition and Health (H&N-HoD), your mission will be to provide technical oversight for nutrition and health projects within the Afghanistan mission, with particular focus and rigor on BMGF-funded projects in Helmand and Urozgan provinces.
More specifically, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Establishing appropriate project management setups and tools to ensure efficient, effective, and coherent implementation of projects, with a focus on BMGF-funded initiatives.
Contributing to the overall Nutrition and Health project management processes, including needs identification, formulation and design, implementation, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and project closure.
Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of project delivery, particularly for BMGF-funded projects.
Managing and developing human resources effectively, with an emphasis on staff working on BMGF-funded projects.
Representing Action Against Hunger (ACF) in regular and ad hoc operational meetings and workshops organized by BMGF and other donors.
Preparing high-quality and well-informed presentation materials and project performance updates in close collaboration with the project team, relevant departments, and local partners.
Ensuring proper reporting, monitoring, and evaluation of projects, with a particular focus on BMGF-funded initiatives.

Profile :

You hold a Master’s degree in Public Health, Medical Science, or a health and nutrition-related discipline (nursing, midwifery, medical doctor, etc.), with at least 5 years of experience working in a similar position with INGOs/NGOs.
Previous experience with Action Against Hunger (ACF) is an advantage.
You have demonstrated experience in managing health and nutrition programs in the field, and successful proposal development experience is expected. You possess a strong understanding of donor guidelines and procedures and the ability to handle stress and pressure effectively.
You have proven ability to multi-task and demonstrated leadership qualities, enabling you to effectively manage and mentor a diverse team while fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Excellent communication skills are crucial. You are fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking abilities.

Conditions d’emploi

12-month fixed-term contract under French or Afghan labor law.
For internationals candidatesMonthly gross salary from 2597 to 2968euros upon experience including 13th month
Reimbursement of the pension insurance for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
Annual salary increase: 6% increase after and each 12 months of continuous contract
Monthly per diem and living allowance: 645 euros net, field paid
Monthly country allowance: 450euros
Cold allowance: Reimbursement for the purchase of winter equipment for a maximum of 380euros per person per year in severe cold contexts.
Child allowance: 1500euros per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000euros/year)
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
ACF covers 100% of the social security, health insurance, and repatriation insurance.
For nationales candidates:
177800afn/month basic salary
2000afn/month Medical allowance
one month salary per year as an end of service benefits
1570afn/month as transportation allowance
