Analyst, Independent Evaluation Office

Reporting to Director General of the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO), the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative support in IEO. 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Support DG in managing the IEO front office, such as in managing the DG’s calendar, organising meetings, receiving visitors and phone calls, interactions with the Board of Directors and NDB Management and staff, ensuring the procurement of office supplies in coordination with Corporate Procurement team, and other administrative tasks; 
•    Make travel arrangements and organisation of related logistics (e.g., visa requests, etc) and programme/agenda;
•    Make payments to IEO consultants, vendors and other service providers;
•    Support DG in IEO budget monitoring;
•    Organise periodic IEO staff meetings and team-building retreats, and maintain a repository of follow-up actions;
•    Develop, and update on a rolling basis, a database of IEO documents to be submitted to the Board of Director and other NDB Committees with associated deadlines for submission to the Corporate Secretary’s Office;
•    Ensure familiarity with NDB administrative policies and procedures (e.g., corporate procurement, travel and others) and related on-line platforms and systems;
•    Provide administrative support to IEO staff and consultants;
•    Take notes of key meetings, summarising the main points;
•    Draft short internal and external correspondence; and
•    Undertake any other administrative or related task, as requested by supervisor.

Position requirements:

•    Minimum 7 years of work experience in a multilateral development organization and/or government-related organisation.
•    Relevant work experience in budget processes and monitoring, organisation of meetings and events, and preparation of minutes and drafting short documents.
•    Experience in policy, programmes, evaluation, quality assurance, strategy and similar fields would be an advantage. 
•    Proven experience in working under tight deadlines. 
•    Ability to interact effectively with Management and staff, Board members, country stakeholders, and other stakeholders and to foster a climate of collaboration.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. 
•    Excellent skills in Excel, MS Word, Power Point, and other similar software applications.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Data Engineering, Management, Human Resources Management, Business, Computer Science, Communication Sciences, or a related field. 

The Analyst is a Support Staff role in New Development Bank, for which the Bank is inviting applications from the qualified candidates who are the residents of the country of operations or duty country stations or other nationals of the Bank’s member countries who are residing in the country of operations, where global mobility is not a requirement.
