An opportunity has arisen for an organised and highly motivated individual, to provide a comprehensive personal assistant and secretarial service to the Director of the International Institute of Korean Studies and Taiwan and Japanese Studies Institutes (Asian Studies Institutes). Key duties will include administering and liaising with stakeholders and respective embassies and organise activities, ensuring effective communication between the institutes and the School and maintaining effective liaison with marketing and the Grants & Funding Unit. You will also assist in the preparation and design of funding (both academic and commercial) opportunities and develop, and maintain, necessary links with external organisations.
With recent experience of working as a PA or similar, you will have experience of working with academic institutions and of working with external partners. Educated to degree level, or with the relevant experiential learning, you will have excellent presentation, communication and team working skills.
Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston.
