Position: Mechanic
- To perform a variety of skilled repair and maintenance tasks on all Agency vehicles.
- Full time position with benefits (Medical, Vision, Dental, Retirement plan.)
- Paid vacation, holidays and sick time.
- Monday-Friday position
Location: Hamden, New York
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex and technically difficult overhauls, tune-ups and repairs.
- Recommended and participate in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of all Agency vehicles.
- Diagnose difficult mechanical problems and oversee type and method of repairs.
- Determine priorities for the execution or repair tasks.
- Attend training sessions.
- Maintain records of repairs and parts replacement made on all equipment.
- Oversee and coordinate vehicle cleaning.
- Provide own mechanical tools.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age, preferably 21.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years experience in skilled maintenance and repair of automotive equipment, preferably one year of which includes repair & maintenance of medium duty trucks or buses.
- CDL, B-P License, or ability to obtain, with in-house training available.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
