The Role

The Sales Account Manager implements sales programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets to meet agreed upon sales forecasts set by Senior Management. The ability to acquire deep technical knowledge of company products as well as their various customer applications is a key success factor. Collaboration with the Technical Support team is highly expected.

The essential job functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Implements strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services. 
  • Builds and maintains good relationships with customers and distributors through regular phone contact, e-mails or personal contacts to generate revenue and establish new accounts.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products and build relationships.
  • Presents product overview workshops on an as needed basis.
  • Review and analyses of sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Prepares proposals and contracts to help secure new business opportunities.
  • Provide input on product development based on customer feedback and technical requirements.
  • Ability to provide effective coverage on outstanding technical support items. 

Desired qualifications

  • Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques.
  • Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
  • Solid understanding of the technical aspects of core products
  • Ability to cross functional areas and collaborate with the Technical Support team.
