Job Summary
  • The Smith Union Cashier is a front of the house, customer facing role at Jack Magee’s Grill.
  • The primary responsibilities for this role is taking food orders from customers and operating computerized cash registers
  • Additional responsibilities may include wiping off counters and tables, ensuring condiments are stocked, and occasionally helping to wash and put dishes away.
  • Hourly rate for this position is $17.50/ per hour
Education/Skills Requirements Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to consistently follow both verbal and written directions
  • Must be able to perform simple math
  • A strong customer service background and a positive, friendly, helpful attitude is required.
  • Our ideal candidates must be able to work well independently, in addition to working in a team setting.
  • Must demonstrate good personal hygiene practices.
  • A strong customer service orientation with positive, friendly, helpful attitude
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents Preferred:

  • Some experience in a commercial food service establishment but willing to train the right candidate.
Standard Work Days and Hours
  • This position is a part-time, non-benefits eligible role.
  • Hours are from 10:30am to 3:00 pm on Monday and 11:00 am – 3:00 pm Tuesday through Friday.
