Child Caregiver

The Family Support Center of Southwestern Utah is a non-profit children’s crisis/respite care nursery providing 24-hour care to children ages birth through eleven. Duties will include: providing childcare, crisis on-call (as needed), light housekeeping, meal preparation, answering phones, documentation, and some office type skills. Applicants will work closely with children, parents, and other professionals.

Positions: We are looking for caregivers to work in our crisis/ respite nursery. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with children with behavior problems and special behavioral needs.

Schedule: Scheduling is flexible but at least two 8 hr weekend shifts will be required per month. 20-30 hours per week.

Shifts Available: M-Sat 10:00am-3:00pm & 3:00pm-9:00pm Two weekends per month required

This position will require preliminary training and will be an on-going position.

Wages $12.00/hr

Special Requirements:

• All applicants must pass a full FBI Level Background Check prior to employment.
• Applicants must be 19 years or older
• Good writing and verbal skills necessary
• Must obtain food handlers permit
• Required to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
• Must be comfortable working with children with disabilities and/or behavior problems
