Hiring Unit:

Faculty of Arts, Deans Office – Communications
Position Summary:

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed general administration functions.

Typical Functions:

(i) Support the FOA communications team in researching for new features and strategic communications initiatives

(ii) Perform tasks to support the FOA communications team in identifying, cataloguing and identifying strategic opportunities (i.e. build calendar of key events for the upcoming academic year, building unit profiles, building a social media calendar)

(iii) Participate in brainstorming student-specific initiatives and campaigns (including for social media)

(iv) Research for and contribute to brainstorming student-specific features for the FOA newsletter and other faculty communication channels

(v) Participate in creating promotional material for the FOA as required

(vi) The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks which may be performed by an incumbent. For example, incumbents may be asked to perform some elements of Communications Assistant level “A” and/or “B” in addition to the above-listed functions.

Hours:

Part-Time 15-20 hours/week

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 2 Years Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE C) $16.26
