We are seeking a Corporate Advancement Officer who is an experienced, friendly, mission-driven, fundraising and community oriented professional with excellent “people skills” who will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Christian Care/Fellowship Square donors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of prospects focusing primarily on Corporate and Foundation funding opportunities. Identify and qualify funders that would support our Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Create Corporate giving opportunities through special events and sponsorships of key Fellowship Square programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for this portfolio of prospects, developing and implementing a written donor strategy and relationship record (using Raiser’s Edge) of all interactions.
  • Communicate with the portfolio through face-to-face cultivation, solicitation and stewardship meetings, and written communications; ensure that each donor and prospect has a clear strategy and timeline for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship using opportunities in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Increase year-over-year revenue from the donors assigned consistent with the objectives identified by the Chief Advancement Officer and set goals. (This will be accomplished in part by specific “Asks” relating to the donor’s passion and areas of interest.)
  • Support the fundraising efforts of the Christian Care/Fellowship Square Advancement Team in securing new and renewed gifts.
  • Record all donor contact in Raiser’s Edge NXT in a timely manner, make thank you calls to donors in a timely manner, attend meetings and events on campus to increase visibility and awareness of the Advancement Office in an effort to steward residents and increase giving potential.
  • Work with the Chief Advancement Officer to strategize and help execute cultivation events for residents, donors, and prospects.
  • Identify and pursue relevant public and private grant opportunities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of nonprofit fundraising and development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred in a job-related field.
  • Excellent grasp of Raisers Edge database software or similar system.
  • Willingness to be hands-on in a role that is demanding and requires a high level of energy and professionalism.
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and a working knowledge of search functions for donor research purposes.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with a diverse group of donors, especially our elderly residents.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to prioritize workload in a timely manner to complete assignments with many deadlines and competing requirements.
  • Commitment to the Office of Advancement mission, vision, and values.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar software platform.
  • Experience with Senior Living Communities.

  • Work is generally performed in a home-based office.
