Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, in high precarious places, in confined spaces, in both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Appropriate protective measures must be taken to prevent possible injury.
Building codes, regulations, and safety standards: familiarity and working knowledge of codes and standards related to the applicable trade industry. Including but not limited to: AKOSHA, plumbing code, and ASRHA standards.
CT1- In addition to the general KSAs, CT1 must have skills and knowledge of building systems and commercial applications.
CT2- Electrician. in addition to the CT1 requirements, must have substantial journeyman level experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems; possess knowledge and skills to install, operate, maintain, and repair interior and exterior electrical systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, elevators, emergency generators, and electrical control for exterior and interior lighting. Operate underground utility locating equipment. Knowledge of energy management strategies.
CT3- Electrician. In addition to the CT2 requirements, must have master level experience in the installation, operation, repair and maintenance of heavy commercial and industrial electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot, calibrate and optimize operations. Must understand building codes and adhere to those guidelines. Must be able to work safely and independently with little or no supervision.
