We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Cybersecurity Software and Platform Architect Consultant who will help us change people lives in Latin America and the Caribbean.

What you’ll do:

You will work within a group of security minded and enthusiastic team players providing technical advice setting security standards, performing risk assessments for cloud and on-premises solutions, addressing challenges, and participating in the development of robust security baselines and processes. The specific areas of responsibility are:

  • Partner with Enterprise Architects and Application Dev teams to design Security Architecture for applications and enterprise tech capabilities migrating to and integrating with Azure and O365, achieving high standards of security practices and compliance.
  • Drive the development and adoption of Azure cloud security standards, best practices, and technologies within Enterprise ITE Infrastructure
  • Design security controls using strong knowledge of NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and frameworks like OWASP, ISO, etc.
  • Provide security domain expertise to the various cloud operations and development teams, to design and integrate secure cloud architectures and methodologies across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, serverless computing, and event-driven platforms.
  • As part of the security accreditation process, evaluate the security design and configurations of on-premises and cloud-based solutions, to identify potential security risks and recommend appropriate security controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Define and implement, in collaboration with Operations team, security standards for new cloud-based technologies being deployed to support remote work. This includes, but is not limited to, secure direct remote access to applications and remote maintenance of hardening baselines and vulnerability management for corporate computing devices.
  • Participate in the implementation of new cloud-based solutions to improve the way remote access to Bank IT assets is granted to contractors and vendors providing services to the Bank including secure remote maintenance of facilities equipment.
  • Maintain different security standards, hardening baselines and guidelines, including adapting them to the new circumstances of remote work as applicable.

What you’ll need:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years combined experience in cybersecurity, software development.
  • Experience with designing and implementing Cybersecurity controls to identity, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Technical skills in cloud and security design in AWS and Azure, incorporating native security controls. Working knowledge with AWS or Azure Services: Security Scores, Key Vault, Secrets Manager, WAF, Service Bus, App Services, Lambda, etc.
  • Experience performing security risk assessments of information systems, interfaces, and technologies to produce contextual risk ratings and recommendations to mitigate those risks.
  • Experience programming and scripting.
  • Experience creating and analyzing indicators and metrics based on risk.
    Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams and clients.
  • Languages: You are proficient in English and in another Bank official language (Spanish, Portuguese and/or French).

Core and Technical Competencies:

  • Experience working with common frameworks, and security and compliance standards such as Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) cloud controls, ISO 27001, OWASP, and NIST CSF.
  • Experience integrating security measures into the development and operations cycle (DevSecOps), adopting technologies like containers and microservices, to automate security controls.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing System and Organization Controls (SOC) reports and other Compliance documents
  • Certifications in the fields of information security, IT risk, cloud security are desirable. AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CISM, CISA certifications are preferred.
