All About You


Under general direction, the Digital Content Strategist initiates, produces and assesses the quality of content on Saint Louis University’s website (, mobile app, chatbot and other digital properties. Collaborating with the digital content team, the strategist collaborates on the best way to tell SLU’s story and market degrees on to a wide variety of audiences; creatively addresses challenges; helps users find vital information through digital platforms (website, mobile, chatbot).


  • Creates and produces or collaborates on written and visual digital content for the University web site while ensuring SLU’s digital presence is engaging, intuitive and ADA accessible for prospective students and current stakeholders; maintains University marketing standards for all types of digital communications using AP and SLU-specific style guides; helps manage calendars and timelines for digital content updates and removal of out-of-date digital content.  

  • Serves as a consultant to distributed content producers on SEO and digital accessibility best practices; builds relationships with digital content creators throughout the University to maintain SLU’s content strategy and best practices

  • Develops training resources and addresses content-related support tickets for the University’s content management system (CMS). 

  • Conducts usability studies; reports on analytics; prepares reports on study findings; and proposes changes to digital communications.

  • Collaborates with web services team and stakeholders on modules and applications for SLU’s app. 

  • Works with SLU ITS and university stakeholders to maintain the AskSLU knowledge base that powers the chatbot and Alexa-enabled devices on campus.

  • Assist in social media and videography marketing tasks and other duties as assigned.


  • Proficient in AP Style with excellent written and verbal communication skills; thorough copyeditor and proofreader

  • Prior experience implementing digital content strategy/s across platforms, creating and curating content in a CMS 

  • Understanding of basic user experience (UX) and customer experience (CX) practices

  • Working knowledge of SEO 

  • Understanding of digital accessibility/W3C best practices

  • Ability to multi-task, work well in teams and collaborate on projects; prior experience managing clients and projects

  • Proficient in Google Analytics

  • Prior experience with content strategies incorporating mobile apps and/or chatbots

  • Understanding of dynamic and personalized content as part of a larger digital strategy

  • Experience using project management and/or quality assurance software

  • Basic skills in working with visual content.


Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with two (2) years of related experience.
