Newnham College wishes to recruit several permanent DOMESTIC ASSISTANTS, to work on a part-time basis for 30 or 20 hours per week. Hours are likely to be 9.00 am – 3.30pm or 9.30 am – 1.30 pm with an early shift from 6.30 am – 10.30 am. Joining an experienced team of staff, you will be part of the department responsible for keeping all the areas of the College clean and tidy. This is an active job requiring a good level of physical fitness. Some heavy lifting and working at height might also be involved (training given). A keen eye for detail and a positive can-do attitude are important to this role.

The salary is based on the spine point 23 of the University’s single salary spine and an hourly rate of £11.33 rising to £11.57 from August 2023. The salary pro rata for working 30 hours per week is £17,758 rising to £18,145 from August 2023 and for working 20 hours a week is £11,838, rising to £12,097 from August 2023.

Your working hours will be on 5 days out of 7, worked to a rota and will involve some weekend working, therefore some flexibility is expected.
