The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, civic and social services, study and friendly association.
The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis is a nonprofit organization that is also an elegant events venue and members’ Club overlooking Loring Park in the heart of Minneapolis. The Club was founded when a group of extraordinary women set out to create a beautiful space in which to gather, connect, educate, inspire and improve the world around them. Today the Club is enjoyed by exceptional women and men of all ages and backgrounds, both members and guests alike.
Summary
The Executive chef is responsible for all culinary experiences at the Club. This position will oversee all activity in the kitchen, train personnel, plan menus, oversee product purchasing and manage culinary budget. The Executive chef will work with FOH and Event Managers to ensure members and guest experience meals and events to their satisfaction. The Executive Chef will be a proven team leader with the ability to manage many different events and guide the success-driven team.
Responsibilities
· Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
· Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
· Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
· Manage/Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
· Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
· Recruit and manage kitchen staff
· Rectify arising problems or complaints
· Ability to plan and multi-task
· Give prepared plates the “final touch”
· Perform administrative duties
· Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
· Keep time and payroll records
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
· Create reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time
· Remain under budget with all costs
· Address potential problems that may arise
· Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
Requirements
· Proven working experience as a head chef
· Excellent record of kitchen management
· Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
· Capable of delegating multiple tasks
· Communication and leadership skills
· Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
· Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant managementsoftware, POS)
· Culinary degree or certificates are admired but not required
· College degree is admired but not required

Salary range $60,000-$65,000
