ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Division of Student Success at the University of South Florida is comprised of 60 departments, providing students with academic support, engagement opportunities, health & wellness services and enhancement of the educational experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The University of South Florida’s Strategic Enrollment Management Operations team is currently seeking a passionate, experienced instructional designer who can create, deliver, and oversee training materials for onboarding and upskilling employees. The candidate must have a foundational understanding of instructional design models that produce impactful, measurable results, such as increased employee engagement and improved retention. They must also be able to foster a collaborative, productive learning environment that captures the audience’s attention and helps them meet their development end goals. The position will report to the Associate Director, Customer Care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and Design Courses and Curriculum
Define and document learning objectives. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop courses and curriculum to facilitate learning. Create learning experiences and assessments, develop guides, develop manuals, other teaching tools, and write scripts for video and audio content.
Assess and Refine Course Content
Analyze, update, and refine course content and curriculum. Manage online learning communities and solicit feedback. Develop rubrics for learning. Redesign content to ensure it matches the learner’s needs. Keep current on best practices in instructional design.
Training and Team Development
Train employees, staff, and students in how to use learning technologies. Create visual, audio, and interactive learning tools. Facilitate discussion and collaboration. Work with staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of related experience-OR-equivalent combination of education and experience.  Ability to partner and build strategic relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders.  Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the field’s policies, procedures, and practices.
PREFERRED:
Previous curriculum design experience; recruitment or training experience; teaching experience;
presentation skills.
