The University of Virginia Police Department is seeking an IT Help Desk Analyst 2. This position will be a full-time, onsite position and will be responsible for IT support of the Department. The position will require some overtime and will provide user support during off hours when normal IT staff are not present. Responsibilities include basic helpdesk support for staff, troubleshooting IT issues, maintaining inventory records, issuing new equipment, surplus old IT equipment, maintaining departmental websites, and other IT duties as assigned by the IT Manager. These duties are to be completed in an efficient and timely manner. The position is also expected to obtain and maintain a Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) certification.
Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree and at least 1 year of related experience. 4 or more years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Valid Virginia Drivers License with a positive points balance

Good Communication skills
-
Strong customer services skills

Able to work collaboratively and independently

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to install new computers and printers and also relocate computers and printers. Also, the ability to crawl under desks to connect and disconnect computers and printers.
Anticipated hiring range : $18.00 – $27.00 / hour
The selected applicant will be required to complete a police background check prior to their first day of employment per university policy.
