Job Description:
notMYkid has an exciting opportunity to join our growing non-profit that is expanding services through our outpatient treatment center. We are currently seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and motivated candidate who is independently licensed as a therapist in Arizona.

Founded in 2000, notMYkid is a Scottsdale-based non-profit dedicated to inspiring positive life choices. We passionately work to educate and protect our community’s kids by providing a full continuum of life-saving prevention, early intervention, behavioral health treatment, and peer support. Our team of prevention and behavioral health experts are dedicated to helping youth overcome challenges during their most vulnerable years. Programs are traditionally delivered in schools, community organizations, at the workplace, and direct to devices via our Podcast. With the arrival of a global pandemic, it is not business as usual and our commitment to quality and inclusivity has led to a swift transition to virtual programs and expansion into treatment services to meet the rapidly changing needs of families.

This new position requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the behavioral health arena. Candidates must be an independently licensed clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in accordance with ARS Chapter 33, Article 1, under the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners. This new position will be directly involved in carrying a caseload in Scottsdale and via telehealth statewide.
Weekends and evening shifts may be required for our new IOP.

Job Duties:
Therapist will provide evidence-based clinical interventions in accordance with our clinical practice guidelines and standards of clinical ethics. Facilitates individual and group therapy; completes clinical assessments based on client strengths and needs; works with clients and their families to develop age and developmentally appropriate treatment plans; and serves as a client advocate/liaison with families and community agencies, as appropriate. May provide on-call intervention services, as well as weekend and holiday coverage, as scheduled. Provide clinical oversight to BHT Clinicians, as assigned.

  • Interpersonal skills which allow for professional and positive relationships with co-workers, clients, families, and other community members.
  • Strong clinical skills, including crisis de-escalation preferred.
  • Experience with telehealth and engaging clients remotely.
  • Good communication skills, evidenced by a non-judgmental approach, effective listening, and positive interactions.
  • Compassionate, energized to work with young people, perceptive, flexible, an effective communicator, and capable of working with all types of personalities.
  • Thorough understanding of clinical documentation requirements and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of the DSM-V.

Experience and Education:
Master’s degree required.

Two to four years of clinical experience preferred.

Licensed at the independent level (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in accordance with ARS Chapter 33, Article 1, under the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners
