Job Description

The University of Nevada is recruiting for a Manager, Grants & Contracts.  This position reports directly to the Director, Sponsored Projects but acts in an autonomous manner to manage the review, negotiation and approval of contracts, awards and subawards.  The position reviews and processes sponsored grant awards and contracts for University faculty.  The Manager supervises grants and contracts staff and assists faculty in contract negotiation, preparation and interpretation for awards.  The incumbent advises and works with the Director in approach and strategy in the preparation, negotiation, and review of contracts for sponsored projects and other departmental agreements.  The Manager works with the Senior Research Administrators– Pre-Award and Manager, Sponsored Projects – Post-Award and assists the Director in establishing, updating and implementing departmental and institutional policies and procedures. 
 
Required Qualifications 
Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of related professional work experience; OR a Master’s Degree and two (2) years of related professional work experience.

Related Experience: Contract law; contract review, creation, and negotiation;

intellectual property law; budgeting, accounting, project management, grant management, research administration, other related.
