The Multi-Modality Technologist performs routine and complex high-quality imaging exams in assigned modalities. Responsibilities also include providing safe, patient-centered care with attention to the physical and emotional needs of patients of all age groups. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to learn new skills and is required to maintain annual competencies in assigned modalities.
Minimum Requirements:
· Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB), certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) as a Sonographer ARRT(S), RDMS or CCI certification in Medical Sonography, RDCS certification in Cardiac Sonography, or RVT certification as Vascular Technologist AND
· At least one of the following specialty certifications: MRI, CT, PET, ARDMS or CCI or RDCS or RVT – specialty certification VI or CI or CCI, or Mammo.
· Graduation from a JRC-accredited program in radiologic technology that is recognized by the ARRT, graduation from a JRC-accredited program in nuclear medicine that is recognized by the NMTCB and/or graduation from an CAAHEP or CMA-accredited program in medical/cardiac/vascular sonography, graduation from a minimum of a 2-year JRC-accredited program in radiologic technology or sonography that is recognized by the ARRT or Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS), or graduation from a Bachelor’s degree program in Sonography or Vascular Sonography.
Preferred Requirements:
· 3-5 years of technologist work experience in each of the assigned modalities
· Work experience in an academic medical center environment
· Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Radiations Science, Radiologic Technology, Sonography or Vascular Sonography
