To help us attract and retain major donors in the German and French speaking area of Switzerland with a main focus on institutions (and some foundations) we are looking for a Partnerships Coordinator (80%) in our Zurich office from September 2025 (or upon agreement).

Your role

Within a growing team of 20 passionate people, you will work in the Partnerships Team along 3 other team members. As a Partnerships Coordinator, you will play a key role in the management of existing and new donors (mainly institutions) and writing high quality reports and proposals, while also supporting in strategy development and administration tasks. You will work closely with and coordinate between the Partnerships and Program Team. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing professional relationships with existing institutions and foundations to ensure long-term engagement, support, and income.
  • Preparing and developing high quality reports in alignment with the donors’ requirements and wishes, in close collaboration with the program department
  • Identify new opportunities from institutions and foundations (both in German- and French speaking Switzerland) and reach out actively (phone calls, emails, etc.)
  • Developing high quality and successful funding proposals that are in line with organizational priorities and procedures and with donors’ requirements and wishes
  • Securing new grants and cultivating the relationship with the donors (through meetings, calls, networking etc.)
  • Support in due diligence process and other administrative tasks related to grant- and partnership management

Your profile

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills who is looking to gain experience in partnership management. You enjoy working in a dynamic and international environment and want to work for a great cause. You possess a mix of technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills to support the team effectively and you have at least 3 years of experience in one of the following fields: partner/client management (preferably with or within institutional donors such as cantons, municipalities, and federal institutions like the SDC), fundraising, business development or a closely related field.

Ideally, you have the following skills and experiences:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field (international development, business administration or a related field)
  • German or French as a native language, with good proficiency in the other language. Strong English skills required.
  • Strong communication (both written and oral) and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Solid research/screening skills, especially in identifying institutional donor opportunities in Switzerland
  • Familiarity with public-sector donors and their funding procedures in Switzerland (e.g., SDC, cantonal and municipal authorities), including reporting requirements
  • Experience preparing proposals, budgets, and reports for public/institutional donors
  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of fundraising platforms
  • Ability to perform in a cross-functional and international team
  • Advanced formatting and document presentation skills in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
