US Cancer Management Corp. (USCMC) and Central Valley Breast Care (CVBC) is currently seeking a team-oriented Physician to lead the development of its new Breast Survivorship Clinic. The Fresno Cancer Center (FCC) is a progressive cancer center in the heart of California’s central valley. FCC currently provides state-of-the-art cancer care in Radiation Oncology and Breast Surgical Oncology with efforts to add Medical Oncology / Infusion in the coming year. Our team is dedicated to delivering the best quality cancer care including attentive, personalized, and supportive care through the survivorship stage of the treatment process. An effective clinical leader with an interest in program building, rehabilitation & wellness is needed to pave the way for cancer survivorship services with USCMC and CVBC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct medical care to cancer patients in the survivorship phase (recurring and prevention management) in collaboration with the medical, surgical and radiation oncology team
  • Prepare an individualized survivorship care plan for all patients
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary providers to ensure all health and wellness goals are met (PT/OT, lymphedema, behavioral health, fitness, nutrition, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with primary care, oncology and other health care providers
  • Develop survivorship clinical standards
  • Help identify champions of survivorship care within the USCMC and CVBC team as well as community providers to offer full service care for cancer survivors
  • Actively participate in internal quality improvement teams and work with team members to proactively drive improvement initiatives
  • Communicate and meet regularly with the Breast Surgical Oncologists, who will provide overall direction and support to advance the development and implementation of these critical programs.

Work Schedule: approximately 40 hours weekly

All MD / DO candidates with an interest in supporting oncology patients are encouraged to supply. This position is not limited to candidates with current oncology experience.

This position is located in the heart of California’s central valley and near the geographic center of the state. As the fifth-most populous city in Californiaand the most populous city in the Central Valley, Fresno is considered the core of the central valley in regards to culture, higher education (Fresno State University), entertainment, healthcare, and economics. Although Fresno offers ample opportunities for year round activities and entertainment including extensive hiking and biking trails, fantastic farm to table dining, and a popular tour stop for national tours (concerts, etc.) within it’s borders, Fresno is also positioned just 170 miles south of the state capital, Sacramento, and 185 miles southeast of San Francisco.
