You will be part of a dedicated and multidisciplinary team, with a leadership role in operational and corporate matters and with specific responsibilities exercised while working on projects, tasks and activities (operational and corporate) geared to advise the EVP, senior management and the Bank teams in leading critically important issues for the organization.
What you’ll do:

This is an advisor position aimed at supplying knowledge and experience in the strategic management of matters under the purview of the EVP; with emphasis on public-private synergies and the integration of operational and corporate processes.

  • Coordinate and contribute to cross-cutting operational and corporate aspects between different business units of the Bank, including the management of alliances within the IDB Group at multiple levels of the organization (Teams, Divisions, Sector and Country Departments, and Vice-presidencies).
  • Lead the revision and provide technical recommendations regarding the authorization of project negotiation and all other matters brought for consideration or review to the EVP and the Operational Policy Committee (OPC). This includes performing technical, sector, and operational performance reviews and working with project teams and other staff on the Bank’s policy compliance and interpretation.
  • Analyze alternatives for policy formulation and postures, providing analytical elements for decisions regarding the Bank’s corporate matters, specific projects or broader operational programs and activities.
  • Lead and perform analytical and operational work to ensure the developmental impact of Bank Group projects, programs, and other engagements at the country or sector level, including the perspective of private sector development and regional integration.
  • Build and maintain networks with other Bank areas to ensure thorough and data-driven decisions of corporate matters (i.e. analysis of processes, systems, talent management and corporate finance).
  • Carry out practical analytical work together with the teams and in response to requests from the Bank’s oversight units (OVE, OII, ETH, AUG, MEC among others).
  • Generate knowledge, ensuring that best practices and lessons learned are captured and shared with others.
  • Contribute to the training and development of others and coach/mentor junior staff to build technical expertise.
What you’ll need:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in economics or international development, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
