We are now seeking a new Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous to further progress and deliver innovative Indigenous education programs, research excellence, employment and community engagement which supports our Indigenous Strategy 2016-2025 .  The strategy provides a clear vision for Macquarie University’s future across the major activities that lead to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander success and is underpinned by our commitment to Indigenous access and participation across the University.

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, this role has strong involvement with, and requires a deep understanding of, the issues relating to and affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, as well as an ability to build supportive relationships with First Nations communities.

This role will be based at our main Wallumattagal campus, the name of which recognises the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the University is situated and which name honours Australia’s first peoples’ connection to country and culture.
