JOB PURPOSE: 

Reporting to the senior product manager, the product marketing manager will assist with the development, delivery, sales and marketing of programs or products created by the organization. Responsible for delivering the product/program within scope, on time, and within budget.

CORE DUTIES: 

• Execute product/program plan definition, and detailed rollout schedule, including collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with marketing team to develop and execute a marketing plan, assessing, and revising as necessary to meet goals.
• Implement conversion strategy to meet product/program goals.
• Deliver an experience that leads to high customer satisfaction and advocacy for the program.
• Conduct analysis and make recommendations regarding the direction of the program or product.
• Actively participates in efforts to improve processes, programs and business across the department.
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants on specific programs.

ADDITIONAL CORE DUTIES: 

• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration by actively participating in the Hoover Way. (Agile Methodology)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with managing products/programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of various marketing elements (e.g. pricing, audience, channels, communication).
• Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
• Demonstrated ability to understand the target audience lifecycle and ability to convert leads into new business.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
• Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
• Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
• Rarely sort/file paperwork.

WORK CONDITIONS: 

• Occasional work on evenings and weekends.

The expected pay range for this position is $79,000 – $118,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
