Information Technology Exchange (give IT get IT) is a nonprofit that reuses and recycles business computers and other technology to help disadvantaged individuals and families.

We collect and process more than 800,000 pounds of this material each year. Data security, computer refurbishment and electronic waste management are key functions of the organization that has been doing this work since 2002.

The Production Support Specialist’s primary responsibilities involve assisting in the aspects of receiving, handling, sorting and preparing recyclable and reusable electronics. All training is provided and experience in these tasks is not a requirement.

Key competencies include teamwork, good communications and a strong work-ethic. Familiarity with technology such as computers, shipping, warehouse or light manufacturing and production is a plus

Work Environment and Job Hazards

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Use of forklifts, pallet jacks and other heavy material handling and process equipment throughout the facility
• General warehousing

Education, Experience and Requirements

Required:

• high school diploma or equivalent
• minimum 20 years of age
• 3 year prior work history with personal and work references
• willingness to undergo criminal background and reference check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
