SSS STEM Program
Summary of Job Duties:
This position will serve as a student advocate and campus resource liaison for TRIO STEM program participants and will allocate 100% of time and effort on this grant. The position is governed by the policies of the institution. TRIO STEM is funded through the Department of Education. The position reports to Director – TRIO STEM.
Required Education and/or Work Experience: Minimum associate’s degree (or two years equivalent) with one year related experience in an educational setting. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.
Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Three years’ experience in an educational setting. Preference given to individuals who have overcome barriers similar to target population.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing clerical support for processing of departmental purchasing/fiscal documentation.
- Monitoring participant enrollment/data collection and program evaluation.
- Collection/data entry for the SSS database for the APR and other evaluation reports.
- Assisting with development/implementation of marketing and social media messaging.
- Supporting staff as necessary in recruitment and retention efforts.
- Collaboration on activities with University partners to help promote the interests of TRIO STEM eligible participants.

Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance

Working Relationships: Works with TRIO staff and participants daily to achieve the academic goals of the participants.

Special Job Dimensions: Work performed primarily in an office setting. Hours vary depending on the participant need. Extended hours are occasionally required.
Background Check Requirements. Criminal background check; Arkansas Mandated Reporters training; and MVR (motor vehicle registry) required for this position.
$28,000 -30,000/year, commensurate with education and experience
