Full Life is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to join our team at a dynamic non-profit organization on Hawaii Island. The Program Coordinator will manage an innovative arts-based day service program for people with developmental disabilities. The Program Coordinator also oversees services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in other home and community-based Services. Job responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee operations of a small creative arts-based Adult Day Health Program located in a public market
  • Developing Individual Plans
  • Hiring, supervising, and leading direct support professionals
  • Ensuring documentation and paperwork reflect the quality of services and follow all policies and regulations
  • Ensure that person-centered planning and self-determination of individuals are upheld

Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

  • Excellent relationship skills
  • Knowledge about developmental disabilities and/or willingness to gain that knowledge
  • Computer skills and ability to use MS Office and learn electronic health documentation systems
  • Able to meet deadlines under pressure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services (Psychology, Sociology, etc.) or education. If a bachelor’s degree is not in human services or education then 1 year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities is required.
  • Criminal History Clearance (FBI and State Clearance)
  • Current Driver’s License and valid automobile insurance
  • Pass pre-employment drug test (exemption for THC with Valid State of Hawaii Medical Marijuana Card)

EMPLOYMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicable background checks; HI State criminal check, TB clearance, CAN clearance, cpr & first aid, verification of education, driver’s license and insurance cards.

Compensation starting between $47,000 and $49,000 per year plus new hire incentives.
