The USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center is in search of a dependable, flexible, and detailed-oriented individual to join a research team as a full-time project assistant. The successful candidate will primarily assist in data extraction, reviewing of medical records of study participants, and updating and completing follow-up data.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Complete research tasks related to the project
- Assist with data extraction, and record review
- Attend project meetings
- Working knowledge regarding human subject research highly preferred
- Communicate with Principal Investigator, participants, and other staff members
Position is funded by a sponsored research project and will be a full-time, fixed term position eligible for renewal based on availability of funds.
The hourly rate range for this position is $26.72 – $31.63. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education: High school or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 1 year
Minimum Field of Expertise: Knowledge of data collection procedures and some experience with proposal preparation and production of technical documents
