Additional Information

Department: Radiology Diagnostic
Hours per week: 36, eligible for benefits
Shift: 3 x 12 hour shifts- 8:30a-9pm 2 days per week will be at the NOC Urgent care/clinic location and 1 day/week will be at a hospital location. Holidays and call required.

Shift: 4 x 10: shifts 8-630p Monday – Friday; Day off during week – On call and Holidays required on rotation. Required to obtain weekend commitment after 6 months of employment.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION – Graduation or pending graduation (within 6 months) from an accredited radiography program required
  • CERTIFICATION(S) – BLS certification required, ARRT Registered Technologist certification required within 6 months of eligibility

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $50,402.68 to $75,604.02
Hourly Salary Range: $24.23 to $36.35

Job Overview

Performs high quality pediatric diagnostic radiographic procedures. They will provide conscientious patient care while adhering to all quality and safety standards as defined by the organization. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and all hospital and community caregivers.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs high quality radiographic images while accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology through proper diagnostic scanning
  • Provides age appropriate care and appropriately prepares patients for procedures.
  • Provides clear and detailed information regarding the procedure and care to patients, families, coworkers and others.
  • Demonstrates and utilizes principles of ALARA in radiation safety management
  • Demonstrates competency in all aspects of RIS and PACs as it pertains to modality specific functions and use.
  • Manages patient priority and act as first responder when needed
  • Follows department policies, procedures and protocol.
