About the Role
Applications are sought for a Research Application Programmer to support the BCI portfolio of tissue banks, with design, build, validation and maintenance of databases. The post will be based in the Director’s Office, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.
Essential requirements for this post include A levels or equivalent and experience of designing, building and maintaining databases Oracle (preferable), Access, Perl and MySQL. Experience of using version control systems and common build tools such as Maven is desirable. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work independently and be able to prioritise a varied workload is also essential.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 2 years. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £35,775 – £42,021 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
