• Assist Researchers: work directly with researcher faculty, staff, and students to assess their research, identify what requirements they must fulfill to initiate their research at UF; connect them with applicable compliance/service units; and when time/resources/expertise permit, directly assist researchers with completing their research applications to obtain approvals/facilitate their research.
• Resource Development: develop and contribute to tools to guide and educate researchers.  Focus on addressing challenges faced by onboarding faculty who are new to UF and/or early career research faculty.  Engaging other resources and taking innovative approaches to provide efficient and effective resources is critical.  Work with faculty to assess the effectiveness of resources to fill gaps or provide more efficient resources where possible.
• Integrate with UF’s compliance and service units to understand their requirements and stay informed on new and upcoming changes.
• Meet and communicate with the research community to keep them abreast of new changes or important news, as well as gather feedback on areas
• Other duties as assigned

Commensurate with education and experience.

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong preference for individuals with a proven track record as an animal lab research manager or human subjects research coordinator, with experience submitting to/working with research compliance/service offices at UF (e.g. IACUC, IRB, DSP, etc).
• Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, having the ability to interact with people from a wide range of scientific and medical experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access and other appropriate programs.
