POSITION SUMMARY:
This position aids the Principal Investigator with carrying out research projects. This may include literature review and data collection in preparation for the projects, screening potential participants according to study protocol, communicating the project to potential participants or the general public, collaborating with data gathering team members at a remote site, guiding participants through the study protocol, and assembling data on the project. This position may require specific computer expertise. Work at this level is non-exempt and represents the basic level of analytical contribution to the research. Research Support Specialists participate in projects and are not responsible for management of projects or final interpretation of results. A position in this class may perform some general administrative duties such as drafting administrative forms and reports; however, the work is primarily scientific and analytical. There would be professional development opportunities such as co-authorship on peer-reviewed manuscripts and conference presentations.
This position is grant funded and time limited.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Screening potential participants, obtaining their informed consent, providing participants with study introduction materials, and walking them through study start up.
Tracking the flow of participants through the study protocol, triaging participant questions and responding when applicable, scheduling study visits, and ensuring participants receive remuneration.
Data entry, data management, and medical record data abstraction.
Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM
:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in office or administrative support or in research support. College education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED:
Prior research experience, familiarity with healthcare, experience with REDCap and Excel. Please upload cover letter and resume combined in PDF form.
