Rady Children’s Hospital is currently hiring for a full-time, night-shift Respiratory Therapist II at our Main Campus!
You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your own approach to CAREing by providing assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for both children and adults. You will select and administer the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, development level and size of the patient.

- Associate Degree (or a diploma from a NBRC certified Respiratory Therapist Program if hired before 10/1/2013)
- 1 year of experience
- CA Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification ( for new hires as of 10/1/2013) must be maintained per NBRC for new hires post January 1, 2021)
- BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
- PALS certification (Issued by American Heart Association Provider)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (AAP) for Respiratory Care; with exception for Pulmonary Function Lab)
- NBRC Credentials renewed and current for all applicable credentials (RRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT, RPFT) (Minimum for new hires post 7/1/2021)
Pulmonary Function Lab Only: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist CPT required within 6 months of hire
Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy
3 years of experience
Neonatal /Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist
Asthma Educator Certification
Previous pediatric experience
Pulmonary Function Lab Only: Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist, RPFT
For Pulmonary Function Lab Specialist – 1+ year Pulmonary Lab experience

The expected hiring range for this position is $39.02 to $57.93/hr plus a $4.40/hr night shift differential.
