The unit is an important part of the Risk & Compliance Department and works closely with both the first line business functions as well the other units within the department. As a Risk Data Analyst Trainee, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our existing reports, processes, and models.

Main responsibilities

The selected candidate shall contribute to the following:

• Assist with strengthening our risk management framework through use of data/models to enhance controls and risk monitoring.
• Support data gathering, data analysis, risk modelling and business implementation.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain our SQL and Power BI platforms that are used for capital risk analysis and reporting purpose.
• Contribute to the improvements and development of existing and new models, e.g., climate risk and stress testing.
• Provide support to the team on ad hoc projects and studies as contributor, and potentially as driver.

Qualifications and experience:

• A degree or studies at a final stage in finance, engineering, applied mathematics or other quantitative discipline.
• Strong analytical and technical skills to work with large and complex data sets.
• Demonstrated practical experience with computer programming (knowledge of Python would be a strong advantage).
• A high degree of comfort and experience with data-base management and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI is a plus.
• Team player and able to work closely and collaborate with external stakeholders from different parts of the bank.
• A strong command of English. Knowledge of NIB member country language is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with risk modelling (e.g., PD, LGD, VAR) and risk related legislation and supervisory guidelines (e.g., CRR, CRD, EBA) is an advantage.
