Job Description Summary

As part of the MENAT Commercial team, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the Grid Automation (GA) Orders and CCM% within the assigned Sub-region reporting to Sub Region Sales Director. The Sales Manager will cover the following GA portfolio: Substation Protection, Substation Automation and Critical Infrastructure Communications, being the primary GA interface for Sales and Commercial within the assigned sub-region. The resource will participate in formation and deployment of Sales Strategy in Iraq, Go to market and key account plan, pipeline creation, ensure visibility and volume of Opportunities in line with the Operating Plan, target and close deals in Iraq, as well as Interfaces with other Grid Solutions Sales within the country, working closely with GA Tendering, Operation, Growth, Sales Operation to achieve the assigned Targets.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Formulates and executes proposal strategy and sales agreements.
  • Formulates deal structure, pricing, proposal development. Assists in customer negotiations. Identifies new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth.
  • Utilizes Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve proposal process.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of own and others sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers.
  • Ability to prioritize information for decision making.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
  • Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
  • Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • BSc degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant department.
  • Minimum 7 year working experience as a Sales Manager with Grid Automation background.
  • Minimum 5 year working experience in Sales across GCC and Iraq.
  • Native Arabic speaker and advanced English speaking skills are necessary.
  • Ability to conduct sales strategy.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
  • No obstacle to travel in Iraq
  • Driving license
