East Riding of Yorkshire Council
The Sustainable Development Team seeks a knowledgeable and passionate individual to help
protect and enhance East Riding of Yorkshire’s unique natural environment.
Duties include supporting the development and delivery of corporate policy and guidance to
ensure that the council remains compliant with current and emerging environmental legislation.
You will also work with communities, businesses and corporate and external partners to address
key opportunities and threats related to the natural environment and biodiversity of the East
Riding of Yorkshire, including natural capital and invasive non-native species.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject and have a thorough
understanding of legislation, guidance and best practice associated with biodiversity and the
Based at County Hall, Beverley for 18.5 hours per week (you will be required to work closely
with your job share partner). There is also a requirement to travel inside and outside of East
Riding of Yorkshire on occasions.
