WORK DIRECTION:
Discovery Phase Liaison:
• Serves as the Discovery program liaison between Discovery Directors and the Office of Medical Education and Student Affairs (OMESA)
• Coordinates Discovery scheduling under the direction of the Discovery Director
• Manages communications with students, faculty, and staff regarding Discovery
• Ensures all SOM and OMESA Policies & Procedures pertaining to Foundations are being met
• Reserves rooms in 25Live
• Maintains the Discovery syllabus
• Coordinators Discovery events
• Updates course catalog descriptions including contact information, course activities, and course requirements
• Configures and distributes evaluations in OASIS for Discovery
• Uses Microsoft Office products, Adobe, BOX, OASIS, and CANVAS to maintain course documentation to support curriculum initiatives
• Coordinates with IT tech support for technical and operational assistance related to end-user testing events by ensuring the training environment is up to date with current functionality
• Keeps track of student attendance, tardiness, and professionalism problems in conjunction with the Discovery director
• Tracks student progress on course requirements, activities, and assessments
• Enters final grades into OASIS within 30 days of course completion (Grade Timeliness)
• Tracks compliance with midpoint feedback and remediation of exam
CLSM:
• Serves as the CLSM program liaison between CLSM Directors and the Office of Medical Education and Student Affairs (OMESA)
• Coordinates CLSM scheduling under the direction of the CLSM Directors
• Coordinates community partner site visits throughout the academic year
• Recruit community sites and maintain contact throughout the CLSM year through feedback forms, site visits, phone calls and emails
• Serve as a liaison between students and community partners when challenges arise related to community work
• Manages communications with students, faculty, and staff regarding CLSM
• Ensures all SOM and OMESA Policies & Procedures pertaining to CLSM are being met
• Reserves rooms in 25Live
• Maintains the CLSM syllabus and handbook
• Updates course catalog descriptions including contact information, course activities, and course requirements
• Configures and distributes evaluations in OASIS for CLSM
• Uses Microsoft Office products, Adobe, OneDrive, OASIS, and CANVAS to maintain course documentation to support curriculum initiatives

• Implements and enforces team systems, policies, and procedures
•Completes operations by developing schedules, assigning, and monitoring work, gathering resources, resolving operations problems, and implementing new procedures
Medical Education Program Coordinator Supervisor
Discovery and Scholarship Subcommittee:
• Committee support for the Discovery and Scholarship of the Executive Curriculum Committee
• Coordinate logistics and documentation of the Discovery and Scholarship subcommittee activities
• Will be a non-voting member of the Discovery and Scholarship subcommittee
As a member of the medical education team, under the Office of Medical Education and Student Affairs (OMESA), this position will assist in coordinating and working in events such as:
• White Coat Ceremony
• Orientation
• Medical Education Day
• Research Day
• Match Day
• Graduation
• Other events, as necessary
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Designs, implements, and coordinates operational facets of a specific program.
- Develops strategic plans and objectives that ensure the program’s continued success, and develops evaluation methods to assess outcomes.
- Conducts program research and ensures that the preparation of mandatory operational, statistical, and financial reports are accurate and factual, and that all reports comply with federal and state regulations and/or institutional policies.
- Designs training programs and materials, conducts training sessions, and represents the program at various conferences, meetings, or seminars.
- May plan, administer, or monitor the program’s budget and/or grants, and conduct financial forecasting for the program.
- May develop fundraising programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and writing and submitting grant proposals.
- Serves as a liaison to and interacts with other groups and organizations participating in the program or seeking knowledge of the program; may write and present speeches.
- Maintains complete and accurate program records.
- May serve on or chair various University committees.
- May supervise program staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in a field related to specified program areas and five years related program management experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A master’s degree in a field related to specified program areas
- Proven ability to work effectively in teams
- Proven ability to exercise excellent judgment and outstanding problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exemplary ability for collecting, synthesizing, displaying, recording, and effectively communicating quantitative and qualitative data
- Outstanding organizational management and multi-tasking skills
- Proven ability to pay strong attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to garner widespread participation among faculty, staff, and students in processes
- Expertise in use of common computer applications such as Microsoft Office, and proficiency in additional technology
- Experience in medical education
- Experience in accreditation and quality improvement processes
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department of work. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
