Substance Use Disorder Therapist

POSITION SUMMARY

Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan is seeking a master’s level clinical therapist to work in our substance use disorder outpatient clinic in Monroe, Michigan. The therapist is responsible for providing direct clinical care in the form of individual and/or group treatment. This position works as part of an interdisciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Master’s level degree in a human services field; Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Addiction Studies
• Limited or fully licensed through the State of Michigan (Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Limited License Psychologist)
• Position requires excellent interpersonal skills, good moral character with flexibility of work schedule, including the ability to conduct telehealth
• Must have computer skills; ability to utilize an electronic health record

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for adults
• Maintain necessary correspondence and communication with other agency and service providers
• Conduct oneself in an ethical, mature and professional manner and treat clients, referral sources and coworkers with dignity and respect
• Complete documentation within agency guidelines and timeframes
• Attend regular supervisory sessions, in service trainings, all required staff meetings and psychiatric consultation as required

POSITION CLASSIFICATION, TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

Part time or a full-time position. Hybrid/office schedule offered. The core CCSEM business days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position requires one evening per week to accommodate client scheduling requests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
