Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions.

Unit Position Summary

Perform basic project-related analytical chemistry for our senior staff associates, including the unsupervised use of high-field NMR spectrometer, infrared spectrometer, and DSC.

Cursory optimization of chromatographic separations, including thin layer and preparative chromatography. This aspect will be a supervised activity.

Management of post-synthetic reaction cleanup and analytical monitoring of active process steps.

Maintaining a safe and orderly lab environment will be a crucial deliverable.

Processing and reporting all analytical data that appears in ELN (Electronic Laboratory Notebook).

Participate in safety-related agendas, including building walk-throughs, safety shower/ eyewash inspections, and chemical waste management.

Desired Qualifications

Applicants should have completed AP courses in mathematics, chemistry, and physics.
