Summary of Job Duties:
The Telemedicine Specialist Associate is responsible for supporting and monitoring technologies provided by the UAMS IDHI. Environments include but are not limited to: Networking equipment/software from Brocade, HP, Juniper, Cisco, Meraki, and others. Video and Collaboration infrastructure from Cisco, Polycom, Acano, PexIP, Zoom, and more. Telemedicine Peripheral devices, such as USB and Wireless exam cameras, specialty scopes and optics, live streaming stethoscopes. RPM (remote patient monitoring) devices and software from many different manufactures. Responsible for working with all areas of UAMS IT, UAMS IDHI, and all UAMS e-Link member sites to ensure maximum service uptime. Keeps up-to-date on emerging technologies that would benefit the UAMS IDHI Programs and compliment UAMS’ mission/goals. This position participates in a group, 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

High School, GED or formal educational equivalent
-
Four (4) years of IT experience with one (1) year of experience in Video Conferencing equipment support (Polycom, Cisco, Acano, PEXIP, RadVision, etc.)
Responsibilities:
-
Support of video equipment and peripherals including but not limited to computers, general exam cameras, stethoscopes, and wireless microphones.
-
Ensure timely update of video conferencing hardware and software to new Service packs, patches, etc.
-
Monitoring of Statewide telehealth network, and critical equipment relying on the operation of the network.
-
Monitoring performance of production systems. Ensure automated monitoring of production systems when possible.
-
Installation and/or activation of video conferencing equipment.
-
Tier I and II phone support of video and network equipment, including peripherals of UAMS and partner programs.
-
On Site support of video and network equipment, including peripherals of UAMS and partner programs.
-
Written and verbal communication with UAMS departments, venders and partners concerning project status, system maintenance and/or downtime.
-
Testing of new software updates after vender approval of known issues.
-
Aid in evaluation, testing and implementation of Microsoft Lync and new WebRTC based video solutions with integration of existing solutions.

Ensure timely scheduling of video conferences on the conference bridge ensuring that conferences are scheduled to not conflict with another scheduled conference

Assist with resolution of user defined problems with production systems and/or production equipment

Support of Arkansas eLink members (450+ and growing) that wish to utilize video conferencing.

Support of UAMS’ and partner programs that wish to utilize video conferencing
-

Works to ensure overall team and IT success, by collaborating and owning all aspects of IT deliverables.

Employee must complete the following UAMS training, certification, and/or course material over their first two (2) years in this position unless courses are not offer by UAMS during this period: Diversity Training, and Customer Service as available.
Employee must complete the following Vendor/Manufacturer training and/or course material will need to be completed over the first two (2) years in this position unless courses are not offered by UAMS and/or vendor/manufacturer during this period: Helpdesk Essentials, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network, Cisco CCID, Cisco CIVND, and Cisco Meeting App.
Employee must complete the following Vendor/Manufacturer Certifications will need to be completed over the first three (3) years in this position unless certifications are not offered by UAMS and/or vendor/manufacturer during this period: Cisco CCNA Collaboration
