Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary Covenant School seeks highly energetic and positive individuals with a heart for kids to come in and impact the lives of the youth. We offer basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, and cheer as our main sports and are looking for tutors and coaches.
Youth Tutors will ensure that our children feel welcome and safe through their daily interactions with each child under their care. They have a special opportunity to transform the life of a child while engaging them in a variety of fun, extracurricular activities such as homework help, and all sports.
The Social Media Assistant will develop and create content to attract the target audience and constantly be thinking out of the box to improve our social media presence as well as increase traffic.
Responsibilities Student Tutor.

  • Organize and prepare the learning environment
  • Assist individual, small and large groups of children in various instruction-related activities.
  • Provide reinforcement for positive attitudes and social skills.
  • Provide support for regular academic programs, with activities in literature, math, language, and physical education.

Sports Program Assistant

  • Promote program participation.
  • Provide guidance and role modeling to youth.
  • Provide a safe environment through clear rules and expectations.
  • Ensure the safety of members, quality programs, and a clean appearance
  • Ensure a productive and collaborative work environment by attending weekly staff meetings.
  • Monitor youth while in structured program areas.

Social Media Assistant

  • Work alongside professional staff to develop marketing strategies for social media, email marketing, and events
  • Execute social media strategies by posting content to Instagram and Facebook, including writing, and editing social media posts, improving engagement, and promoting social media campaigns
  • Plan and prepare regular blog and newsletter content
  • Utilize email marketing strategies to grow audience and engagement
  • Create visual content and exercise creativity in designing graphics and videos
  • Monitoring social media engagement including responding to questions/comments
  • Participate as a member of the department’s marketing team including team and one on one meetings
  • Maintain an accurate and updated work log
  • Assist in other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Must pass LiveScan Check
  • Ability to motivate youth, manage behavior issues, and keep youth engaged in activities.
  • Ability to be consistent and encourage honesty, responsibility, fairness, sportsmanship, and respect for all involved.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for groups of youth.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a work environment that changes often.
  • Ability to work with the general public.

Social Media Assistant

  • Some experience working with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Proficient at FinalCut Pro and Adobe Premier
  • Experience creating/editing videos
  • Excellent writing and content management skills
