|Requirements for Additional Job Levels||Depending on the combination of education and experience, selected candidates will be hired as an Inpatient Veterinary Assistant, and assigned Levels I, II, or III. Salary range is determined by eligibility for Level I, II, or III.
Consideration for Assistant I, Vet Inpatient requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Level II requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.
Level III requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.

|Years of Experience||When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.|
