Wilder Childhood Manager

Contract type: Permanent / Working hours: Full time
Location: Bickley Hall Farm, Malpas ,SY14 8EF
Do you have a passion for working with children and families, inspiring them with the natural
world? Are you experienced in education and/or outdoor learning? Can you lead and motivate a
team? Do you want to be part of driving a movement of people taking action to bring wildlife
We have just the role for you.
Nature is in trouble. We have reached a tipping point. Wildlife is in freefall both locally and
nationally and our climate is in crisis. By 2030 we must see nature recovering, wildlife
returning and ecosystems restored and we need many, many more people on nature’s side. We
urgently need one in four people to take action to bring wildlife back across our region.
The Wilder Childhood Manager will join the Wilder Engagement Team, responsible for developing
and driving the growth of the Wilder Schools network, managing grant funded projects and the
work programme for engaging families and children. This is a team leader position and requires
close collaboration with both internal and external partners and creative, visionary thinking.
Our Wilder Childhood work seeks to connect children to nature, inspiring them to care for and
take action for wildlife. We are working to empower and mobilise schools, families and children
via self-sustaining networks and a community organising approach.
Applications close at midnight on Monday 4th December and interviews will be
held on 14th December.
