The Opportunity

Due to the increased awareness of the benefits of greenspace ELGT is seeking to appoint a
dynamic and enthusiastic additional Woodland & Greenspace Officer to develop and deliver
environmental projects as part of the ELGT programme of activities.

The Woodland & Greenspace Officer will further develop and deliver a programme of woodland
and conservation activities, develop new programmes of activity, particularly with young people
and associated organisations focussed on the area in and around Craigmillar Castle Park,
Edinburgh. ELGT was the winning recipient of the Scotland’s Finest Woods Award for the Large
Community woodland Group in 2021.

We are looking for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic self-starter, with an excellent
track record of delivering similar woodland and conservation activities using a community-based
approach appropriate for the activities undertaken. Experience in the delivery of upskilling
programmes of work, focused on environmental activity, with young adults will be advantageous.
